I'm surprised the artist made the same mistake that the anime had initially. Atalante shouldn't have her ears in her flashback, the story of the Argonauts happened before she was cursed

I loved how they made the possession much more explicit with the blackened eye

I've always thought Atalanta's face turn was always too sudden and out of character. Since I've only watched the anime, let's see if the manga handles it better.

This version of prayer feels holier than the one the Church uses.

It's neither, but the anime at times is not good at feeding info to the viewer. Atalanta said she wishes for "a world where all children are loved", so her raging at children dying, even if it was necessary, is hardly out of character.

The whole point of her using Agrius Metamorphosis (something she would never use as an Archer-class) is because by then she's so angry she's beyond caring, and if it helps kill Jeanne anything's worth it.

That said, the manga does a better job at showing her corruption (iirc it's the most malevolent of Jack's spirits that egg her into murderous hatred), and I'm looking forward to her endgame with Jeanne (and Achilles) a lot, I trust Ishida will deliver.

She killed them ... weren't they dead souls? Or were they from the beginning possessed kids from Trifas? If so thee should be no need to kill them.

@pihip please keep spoilers in spoiler tags. Most of us haven't seen the anime.

My bad, I took it for granted that everyone here already saw the anime.

To answer your question though

Jack the Ripper is not a "proper" Servant, but the combination of tens of thousands of dead and unborn children from Victorian London, all of whom died in appalling squalor or were stillborn. Jeanne is not "killing" them in the literal sense, she's exorcising their souls and letting them pass on in peace.

nasuverse has never really been known for lore consistency in any shape or form. really doubt they have any mythology experts on their payrool either

and so this is where atlanta loses her shit, eh?

feels like a lancer class scene, she should job change

@abetillo just an army "hero" or NP made up of many people's willpower or something (all the victorian abandoned), like iskander's army marble. taking a few souls out of it would just end the NP, they can't really be individually saved.

i'm sure nasuverse writing will come up with some bs where an army NP gets converted into individual spirits one day, but we aint there yet.
