If there is a way to find your talent that accessible, you wouldn't be shut-in neet.

The ratio of elements aren't adding up to 1 if the six common elements are 1/16! Literally unreadable /s

Just by what we have seen in the manga thus far I would make a guess that Chinatsu might be a water type (remember how she got along with the shore fairy and how the tooth of the fairy leaked out liquid mana that became her ring that doubled as a water gun)?

As for Akane ... hard to say - from what we know about her she apparently has a large mana pool and is a natural genius at the same time, which means she can do spells which normally someone else would need more training (in a lot of disciplines, perhaps) to accomplish.

As far as I can tell the categories are the natural way both the personality and the activities one is interested to use magic or mana to do show themselves. A large mana pool or a natural genius could (but not necessarily) be either an extension or have nothing to do with one's category. It could be, for example, that she is an earth type - remember how it was reported that she turned an entire mountain (!) into sand? Her traveling and teleporting and being a wanderer could be related to that as well somehow. Then again, it could have nothing to do with it either! XD

There is very little to go on at the moment, after all....

Let's say for every 100 normal people there is 1 witch, in other words 1:100. Going by that and saying the world has hmmm ~=8,000,000,000 people that would mean there are 80,000,000 witches. If there is a 1:1000 ratio of wizards then that would mean there are in the world =~ 80,000 wizards. And if the ratio of dark witches is 1:20,000 then 80,000,000/20,000= 4,000 dark witches meaning that there is a 0.005% chance for a dark witch to appear. Well that sure looks like a percentage for an SR witch...wait no, light witches are 1:10,000 so they would be R witches...yeah it's right then calling the dark witches SR meaning the spirits would be UR then since they are 1:100,000. (Correct me if I'm wrong or if I'm exaggerating.)

@chenando1 Doing a Fermi estimation here, the manga is set in the city of Hirosaki, population 174,171 as of December 2017. About 4.7% of the Japanese population is between the ages of 15-19. So there should be about 7800 - 8700 high school age students in the city. Now, given that there are 6 high schools in the city, and only 3 years in Japanese high school, we can estimate there are somewhere between 780 to 1400 (if all people between 15-19 were high schoolers) or so students in their school. In their school, they should be the only be 2 witches and Makoto is a transfer, so if we estimate that there are .5 to 2 witches per 780 to 1400 people, then we can estimate there are around 2.5 million to 20 million witches in the world. Wizards would number from 2500-20000, light witches from 250-2000, and dark witches from 125-1000, and spirit witches from about 25-200.

So we could say dark witches are about as rare as an NBA player, a private household chef, a professional blacksmith, or a Prosthodontist,

I don't even notice that it was foreshadowing all along, nice surprise.
