Personally, I feel this is a non-issue. I shouldn't think that very many people are going to check reaction scores on each post.

i suppose the extra step does reduce its visibility.

i just noticed that hovering over a user's name also shows it.

They aren't trying to get rid of them per se, just make it so that you have to go looking for the score to find it.

It was not the intention to get rid of it, just in this one very visible spot where it also wasn't really supposed to end up in the first place.
