I'm curious if this really is a common occurrence with University sunbaes in Korea. A number of stories I've read have featured an obnoxious, creepy,
and/or overbearing sunbaes that everyone is afraid to say something to. I get that the culture has a respect system based on age and experience, and many ways I think that can be positive. However, if someone acts like this guy, why should someone have to cater or submit to him just because he's a couple years older?
Does being a sunbae really hold that much power regardless of conduct?
