Friend Requests - Security/Phishing Concerns

I've been getting a few friend requests from people and I'm concerned that may be hacked accounts or people sending requests with malicious intent. I almost never comment on anything and just browse manga, so any reason for them to extend offers is suspicious to begin with.

In addition, one profile had a suspicious description, with an external URL:

You wants new feelings ? add me. ➤➤ You won't bedis︆︆appointed! ✅✅ write me ✅✅==>> {external URL link}

I'm not sure how frequently this happens to others but I want to raise awareness or see how common this is so that others do not get hacked/compromised. I have refused both connection requests and blocked the users.
