Thank you for the chapter! How the hell does the princess allow that asshole to retain his position? He clearly is the kind of person who will ignore her orders out of spite to fulfill a personal vendetta, get innocent people in trouble or even killed, and all-in-all seems like both a terrible person AND terrible servant.

Obviously the elf dude is evil but it's a weird characterization to have him go "don't you recognize the yotsuba kingdom emblem." Yotsuba is apparently across the sea and this is a small city that does not appear to be a trading hub. It also doesn't appear that Yotsuba is an existing ally with the current kingdom. Why would anyone know that Yotsuba emblem? Just makes him look stupid and lowers the level of this villain. Making him go like behold you're in the presence of royalty or the Yotsuba kingdom better establishes his arrogance without making him stupid. If you rely on these villains that are both stupid and evil you make the story worse and less memorable.

I honestly can't remember, is Reito not planning on escaping the kingdom that wants to kill him as soon as possible? It doesn't feel like he's made any meaningful progress towards this if it is his goal and I don't see why he would want to be lingering here.

Filthy male elf need to be charge with treason
I wonder if there is a reason that they were attacked by monsters. He seems to be reacting the same way kids do when their plans were ruined. This is speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if I was right.

Aside from a huge ego (Elf and noble - how fancy) he is also double bigot and violent thug. (Filthy human and his filthy animal, how dare they even exist!?)

The fact that he jumped to violence in front of the princess gives me the feeling he doesn't think much of her really... How likely do we figure he wants to marry her in order to be next king?

Lastly, place your bets; actually evil all along, turns traitor because princess prefers MC and dog, or decides he must kill MC to soothe his bruised ego? (Or is it all three?)
just like you I think he is gonna be a problem later

Jesus, Katanazuki-sensei, can you write it more obviously that we're supposed to hate this guy? You're still gonna fan these flames until (lemme guess) he sacrifices his life for the princess and you try to guilt trip us that he was actually a really good guy but his pride as a noble got in the way with Reito?

Retarded knife ears. Deserves to watch MC fuck his sister in front of him.
Also, isn't the MC technically a prince?

Thanks for the TL

Well, she's cute, at least.

Why the fuck would you punch a doggo? He needs to die.

Got off lightly. Only survived thanks to the princess.

I mean, tourists try to pay with USD in Europe. That's not significantly different.

I kind of hate how much the author has just glossed over the fact that MC just straight up stole Bal's one and only change for revenge for her parents and fiancée. Bro just had to stop the poison arrow trap - that's it. Let the rest play out.
I'm unreasonably salty about it.

Is it being a "poison arrow trap" from the LN or something? Because afaik, all that's mentioned in Ch32 is that she "ends up falling into his trap" and dying (and iirc Gain doesn't use any arrows/darts in his fight with Reito). But that doesn't necessarily mean it's an actual trap, after all Airis also says she also managed to kill him, which if she just got hit by some random trap would be kind of surprising. It seems more likely Airis talking about Gain's "trap" just means him lying in wait for her, they fight, they both die.

But even if it was a poison arrow trap, part of the whole thing is that Airis can't actually tell the future beyond Reito's involvement in an event. So there's no reason to actually think that Reito defusing any traps that might've been lying in wait would've been sufficient to let her kill Gain herself, without just doing that instead anyway.

It's a bit lame that he keeps quiet about it to Bal instead of admitting it, but if he's trying to save her it makes sense why he wouldn't want her anywhere near the situation.

In chapter 32 it spells out exactly how Bal would die: She enters Gain's hideout, kills some of his subordinates, gets hit with a poison arrow and is paralyzed, but manages to hit Gain with a Fatal attack before she dies. I've got the 2 pages that spell out her original fate in the spoiler.

Huh, for some reason I glossed over that while looking back at ch32. Fair enough on the arrow then, though it doesn't change much wrt the rest of the whole future-sight bit.
