I suppose after a while you do get bored with the more straightforward way of revenge when the poetic kind is just so much more satisfying.

The panels during Raul’s “night” visits to the king kinda give the feeling that he was sexually assaulting the latter. He was just suffocating him, but the way it was drawn just feels that way.

This level of petty harassment is pretty in line with his character, much like that one Thanos comic where he chose some random guy to torment his entire life for no real reason but because he could. But if this has been happening for a while, then was there even a point to try to get dark sorcerers to "beat" MC? Like clearly the king as more then enough understanding of his power and is already a target, is it a last-ditch effort of someone cornered or a delusional attempt by someone unable to accept his fate? (Seeing how he is hooked up to machines to live longer...probably the latter.)

In their heads, they can do it, so there's nothing wrong when they do it. They're nobles, the higher they are, the more they can do.
It's common trope to show nobles/royality to act like that when they are villains....here it's just extremized a bit...just a tiny bit

Did Raul actually cut off the king's breathing though? The king's eyes were shut in those flashbacks, so while he assumed it was Raul doing the deed, it's possible it was done by someone else that made the king believe that it was Raul doing it. After all, Raul is more artistic when it comes to making his enemies suffer.
