Thanks for the chapter!
Is blacklisting illegal in China like here in the US, or is it considered a legal business tactic so big companies can keep control of their talents? Or is it one of those open secret type things where everybody knows Starlight blacklisting MC, but can't be taken to trial for it as didn't say were blacklisting her or anything that can be shown as solid evidence are doing so other than halting her acting activities? Strange no is commenting about Starlight showing blatant favoritism or how Ning Xue Luo faked the seriousness of her injury. As talented as 2nd brother is, he really needs to work on reading the mood and avoiding doing things that look really bad. Especially if wants to avoid ending up getting killed by his jealous brother.
Fyi, reason why Lin is stressing about MC not having a boyfriend isn't just because Leng Mang Yun left the company in a lurch by retiring from both show business and as their biggest star (ie money maker) to get married but to retain her appeal to the young male public. Apparently studies have shown that guys from their teenage years to upper 20's favor and idolize young, beautiful female stars who are single. Various reasons such as having a fantasy of becoming a couple with the woman, but losing interest if it gets out that she has a boyfriend, or worse a husband. Something to do with being against the guy or bro code to be interested in another guy's/bro's girl. Sometimes the fan base loss is so severe that the star's career is ruined hence getting outed as having a boyfriend is often considered career suicide.
