It's interesting to me that Moko is the one that seemingly is new to this and doesn't understand romance, but is putting all this effort in to understand her partner and the things they enjoy, meanwhile we don't really see any reciprocation from the one who supposedly fell in love first. Not really putting in a lot of effort to get to know more about Moko and her hobbies and interests from what I can tell.

I struggle to imagine how it could be that Kaede doesn't actually like Momoko, so I suspect her anxiety stems from her unfamiliarity with dating and the "focus" and energetic buy-in to their dating from Momoko. Because the energy's all mismatched, Kaede's left feeling off-balanced and thus unsettled.
Dunno if that's actually the case, and I'm sure she still wonders if Momoko is going to suddenly go "actually I ain't feeling it after all", and the issue there is it's more likely to happen the more passive/solely-receptive Kaede is in their dynamic.

But communication has happened before now to good effect, so here's to hoping that trend continues.

kaede will probably confuse these restless feelings with not being in love, even though we all know it’s because she’s still unsure about how moko feels, and that’s turning into agony in her heart

In some ways, I think Kaede would in an adult circumstance be the sensible one. Like if they were adults she would be in a situationship with Moko and Moko wants to hook up, but because Kaede has feelings she feels an emotional disconnect with the physical aspects of the relationship, so she sets boundaries for her self. Since they're not adults they're explicitly dating, but it's the same emotional issue without the skills and communication to navigate it.

Meanwhile, Moko is all, "I want to see her and touch her constantly and I mark her as mine so others know to stay away, but what is 'love'", like girl, come on.

It's been left implicit for now, but imo the main conflict since the start of the manga has always been that Kaede (senpai) has feelings for Moko, but believes that Moko doesn't reciprocate those feelings back, and is just using Kaede to 'discover herself'. This was essentially the pretense that their relationship began with. It seems like Moko has begun to develop real feelings for Kaede, but they haven't communicated this to each other as of yet. My guess is that Kaede is feeling conflicted about falling further into a physical relationship with Moko when its built on what she believes to be hollow pretenses. If that makes sense.
