It’s not explained well.
The idea seems to be:

With the slime, she did mention the slimes dangerously sucked away most of her mana.
The question though is, would that stopped her immortality? Will she die from being drained? Or her immortality is another thing altogether so there’s no way to undo it.

She's not invulnerable. Chapter 1, page 18. "There are 2 things I need. An unaging body that can survive any disease, and the ability to reverse any damage that becoming a seedbed would cause her[sic] body."

That explains it pretty goddamn well.

Her mana is separate from her body's condition; it's what allows her to fight back, or protect herself, or do any number of things, beyond her alchemically recreated body. If mana drain was sufficient to disable her body, then the three years spent remodelling her body were a total waste, since it wouldn't qualify for the aspects she desired. Also, MP is also often associated with mentality, and if so it being drained would mean she's exhausted mentally, even if physically she's fine.

Well, energy drain scene is hot and gives that sense of helplessness.

It’s not like the Ropers became genius or named monster. Their danger level is upped, but still seems to be what adventurers would be able to handle as long as the guild informed them of the change beforehand so they know what they are facing.

We also still don't know if it would be passed down to next generation if they breed using inferior body as their seedbed.

Considering first panel of chapter 4, doesn’t seem to be the more gruesome variation where the larvae eats the host from inside.

In the first panel, Plute drops the small larvae down into the cells. So the eggs only hatch inside the seedbed’s body but they quickly gets out.

Sting Hornets’ life cycle is fast, so their number is volatile. As fast as they can grow in number, if situation goes bad their population will quickly dwindle down.

All the females can lay eggs. This means they don’t need a specialised individual such as queen bee. In exchange, their eggs are fragile. The hornets thus become highly dependent on having a seedbed for their eggs to safely hatch. The eggs they deposited are not fertilised though.

The male then fucks the captured female continuously to fertilise the eggs.

Because of their dependence on female as seedbed, losing the seedbeds are matter of life and death for the colony. They regularly form hunting parties to capture females, and also do everything they can to prevent escape.
While the captured females are usually too exhausted to escape from the continuous rape, they also build their nest like a complex labyrinth to make it impossible to escape from.
In addition, they evolve to like the sound of female moaning in pleasure because it informs them the seedbed are pleasured. They learned that if the female are drowned in pleasure, they won’t have the willpower to escape.

Why she was in the forest looking by a partner (tree monster) when you dont have mana to self defense ? /facepalm
