immediately refuses to put in effort and study to be a miko. Yeah pull the other one, it's got bells on. You can't just tell us "The
other kid is so bright and good and everyone loves them
" and then never show them being remotely likable!
I was so interested to see her being overall a good kid, but when finding out she's not actually the miko she actually starts to question things and then see where the situation would go from there.
But no! Gotta go this freakin' overdone route! We've got to make it feel even more unfair to our protagonist, after all!!
