I was thinking it likely is Hiraizumi based on how depressed she looks walking away likely showing a reminder which then pans to Takahashi cheering her up symbolically showing her safe space is with Takahashi who is starting to respond to that by coaxing her rather than repremanding her like she did previously when not being "normal" by basically telling her its okay to be scared and sad since that is a sign you're actually normal like you wanted.Huh was the one who wrote the yaoi story Takahashi (the human)?
Which would be reflecting Takahashi doing this because she has to while Niehara just does it for the love of the game. It would fit the "no one would ever guess, but still feels more likely Hiraizumi based on what shown[They] do not actually enjoy eating humans, doing so just takes away some of their pain for a little while
I think the presence of gay men in Yuri is probably because of how many authors are probably fujoshi/fudanshi as well. I read a lot more Yuri than Yaoi, but the ones I read are a lot shorter and focus mainly on the couple so there's barely anything for characters that aren't a side couple for a spinoff.I wonder why almost every yuri has either a fujoshi character, a gay man, mlm side couple, or at least mentions yaoi, but you will never find a decent female character in a yaoi. Everything revolves around men

Even tho I only started reading/watching yuri abt 2 months ago but I can name someWhat other yuri manga feature gay male character or MLM side couple?
More specifically, it's male-centeredness and misogyny. You'll hear people say they want more queer representation in media, and the moment they get a new bl show or MLM ship, they stop complaining. Even some lesbians say they prefer reading yaoi over yuri.I think the presence of gay men in Yuri is probably because of how many authors are probably fujoshi/fudanshi as well. I do agree it's really easy to think of examples of terrible women in yaoi, but I don't think the opposite is nonexistent. Straight girl best friend or lesbian side character is really hard to find but not non-existent. I forget the name of it but a BL manga about childhood friends ended with them finding out their sisters started dating too. It is scraps but I'll enjoy it nonetheless. I gotta explore more comedic Danmei to see if the equivalent to the Yuri Knight I see pop up in Baihe exist.
