Wasn't my question, but i'm not exactly sure what would count as a solid ground. We are not even sure about her motives yet - whether she is helping Shiori as a concerned "mom" (seriously, what's with that, we Misoshiru de Kanpai now?), masochistic wingwoman or jealous lesbian. She seems rational at least - to be able to talk some sense into the numbskulls that are MC and Shiori. As for meddlesome, wait for Akari to try and get between them.
Well, for now though, she looks like a plot device that gave this triangle a push, as MC, Shiori and Akari weren't really doing anything about their feelings, that i'd agree with.
