Guys, guys, guys - let's not be so hasty, god damn it xD Maybe it's me who misses something, but where was it even mentioned that the gloves ever belong to Rudo's dad? As far as we know, Legto gave them to him and that's all. HOWEVER:

1. We have another connection here. Vandals (whole group, this specific group, doesn't matter) under this Leader guy are interested in Skypeople, their information, maybe technology, stuff they made or had. Rudo's gloves are from the series the Leader either collects or just has a piece of. It makes sense, if it's all from Heavens - both them being interested in Rudo and the gloves. Nothing at all seems to be connected to the father - besides, we still have the mother, as they're both gone.

2. I'm trying and hoping for this manga to surprise me, impress me, be les cliche and more good writing etc. Thus, I don't think Vandals' Leader have any connections to Rudo's dad at all. If anything, that person might want to get the gloves for themselves. As a memorabilia, collectible, part of a set, whatever.

3. Keep in mind - parents were abusive to Rudo, as far as we know and abandoned him. He specifically points them out as the source of his scars, the ones Legto's gloves hide for him.

4. I'm a little bit baffled. Engine and the guys made it seem like they were going to stop Jabber, catch him and such. Instead they just stood there, as he took his 2-3 minutes to escape with his associate. I hope it makes sense eventually xD Maybe they were just wary of whatever Kuthoni could possibly do, so they kept their distance?

5. Griss alive - told ya! Follo is dying in the futre though - that was my second prediction, from way before.
