i know this chapter is just supposed to show them being an understanding couple and be sweet, but I can't hold back my corpo hate.

The fuck you mean can't be helped, no one can rob me of my time with my wife, the amount of times i told my boss to go fuck himself for this kind of shit is ridiculous, i hate that he couldn't stand for himself in that situation, all he needed to say is "sorry I can't do it, i have a very important previous commitment".

corpo rant over :dogkek:

I would get fired so quickly in Japan, because there's no way I'm staying late to do a last-minute request like that. My response to that would be: "sorry, my life takes priority"
i know right, it's so simple to stand up for yourself and get out of those situations, i don't understand why people can't do it, just say "no I can't, if it's urgent have someone else do it"

I'm not someone who notices art very much, but is it just me or has her drawing changed a lot?

This is only hearsay, but from what I've heard/read japanese companies don't fire people. Instead, they'll make you as uncomfortable as possible at work. Coworkers might even think less of you if leave on time even if you've done all your for the day. For some reason it's seen as being hard working if you stay behind longer. Don't even need to do any work. Twiddle your thumps until late at night and you'll be a hard working employee.

I mean this is standard procedure to avoid paying severance.

So the office collectively owe him a favour now.
Let's see if they repay the favor and not just use it as an excuse to dump everything on him.
