I get the need for the gap or break between posting if it's in the same thread (bot/spammers/trolls/arguers/etc), but why does this apply on different thread also? besides bot or spammers ofc. then again, a bit of coding delay would still achieve this...

can the gap for different thread be shorter since some or most of the times, I'm sure most of us open up multiple updates/stories after a long day and read one after the other and felt like commenting on different stories... not remove the gap, simple shorten it for different threads. my 2 cents.

BTW, how do you search the forums for previously asked stuff or thread? I'm rarely here in the forums and this is my 2nd? 3rd? time posting and got rebuked before about not searching if the topic has been previously brought up beforehand. sorry for my newbishness I guess?

Read the planned features list and/or manually look through the previous suggestion pages. Googling also helps. Relevant post from googling "mangadex forum search".

Also, I disagree with your suggestion. You already pointed out the reason not to decrease the wait time (bots/spammers/trolls). Decreasing the time for different threads would only incentivize these users to spam across multiple threads. Two minutes isn't that bad.

Perhaps if there is enough demand, Staff can incentivize decreased comment cooldown (120sec ---> 90sec) as a perk for donating.
We already know of one existing Supporter feature, and by tying it to monetary exchange, bots/spammers/trolls are less likely to be able to take advantage of it.

I say the mods have it so there's a ratio between post made and time spent on the platform so people who frequent the site and are regulars don't have to wait two minutes each time they want to reply or respond to anything

every account birthday will shorten the gap by 20-30 s ? 4-6 years in prison and you will have 0s delay

General rule of thumb if its not on the planned features list then its free game if it is then the salty regulars will bash you over the head with "READ THE PLANNED FEATURES LIST"

Oh, I didn't know that... and that's a way better solution to the issue if it's a permanent decrease each year.... and if actual troublemakers do stew an old account or something just ban them I guess.
