I think I got my head around what's been going on. Loved Isana and Hima's relationship and the worldbuilding. Thanks for translating.

Hard to tell whether the series got axed or if Koruse just decided to end it. She powered out the first couple of volumes in basically a year, but it took her another year to get this one out. And she's been doing doujinshi stuff on the side, so maybe she just decided to call it. It feels like the story could have been 4 or 5 volumes though, and felt less rushed/fleshed out some more of the backstory.

I hope it was her choice, but we may never know. Thanks everyone for reading along, support Koruse by buying some physical volumes or something from her Fanbox if you can!

I've just re-read everything from the start today, you better do it or you'll miss some details and elements introduced in the first tome that are important in the end. It was a good manga until the last tome : too much lore, flashbacks, expositions, metaphysics and stuff. Sure, it's science fiction, but it's way too much, as if the author did try to cram everything in the last volume before the axe. I'm not even sure the story is coherent.

Some remarks about what a few points that bother me :
  • Everything related to angels is a big mess. Chapter 7 say there is multiple angels and they're just weapons. But there is only one at the end and they are described to be something to make grey bodies to die in mass, the same bodies used in the kindgom...
  • The tower responsible for the arrival of angels on earth (or their birth) is also forgotten. Is it just a research center for creating them ?
  • You need the memory of the planet to activate an angel, what a practical weapon. But they did bring peace, as said in the first volume, in the city with the tower. So they have been activated correctly at least once and did end the war between the kindgom and their ennemies ! The princess seems to be alive at that time, also, and had the memory of the planet. But Princess Tina did give her soul to the angel to activate it (ch 18), the goal being to allow bodies with nanomachines to die, and it was a collosal failure due to the angel going berserk.
  • Also, despite being taken by the angel, Tina's soul is magically in isana's body after a few centuries and she is conveniently with Frean because they both have been abducted by the professor... Reincarnation is sure convenient !
Also, i'm sure there is some retcons
  • The child character introduced for nothing look is certainely a victim of the mighty axe.
  • The merchants working with Frean are forgotten in the last volume.
  • The explanation at the end about Frean covering Isana's in the village smell like retcon, and not only because the ritual stuff is forgotten, but also because the plan makes no sense.

Yeah, this degenerates into a contradictory mess in the end.

I am so mad. I really liked this one.
