I think JSDF has been winning 99.99% of the battles they were involved with. I know I know, modern Earth with all its technology and history is a huge advantage, but I would love to see the fantasy side have or grow to have a fighting chance.

They did grow though? We saw them do stuff like impersonating JSDF personnel to cause chaos behind the lines, they began adapting camo and ambush tactics more often, you even saw a couple JSDF deaths and equipment losses in the later chapters. Even the fact they managed to bait the JSDF into a wild goose chase while their main force is marching towards Italica is commendable.

But lets be real, there's no way you can write them having a fighting chance when the technological gap is this big, only time the fantasy side saw a real win was when a literal demi goddess wiped the floor with the foreign special forces back during the hot spring chapter.

To be honest I can see it. At that point he was probably moving on 90% Adrenaline and grabbed her with the strength of a man fighting for his life (and failing). And while he was Zorzal he was physically not a weakling.

I confirm this: The Rose Knight who died in this chapter is indeed Shandy, not Hamilton. And yes, her partner Suissesse also died there. RIP!

I started this manga when it was only 15 chapters, and being honest, this was not a high lecture or anything, also I started to not read most of the textboxes when 70% of the chapters became just JSDF's operations and army related intriges. But also I dont feel this read was a waste of time or anything.

It was a fun ride and Im getting some nostalgic now remembering, I dont know if Im really interested in buy all the manga volumes, but surely Ill buy some to no forget this existed at least. I´ll give a oportunity to the navy arc and hope the plot dont get dragged like the last 40 chapters here.

He didn't strangle her, he broke her neck according to LN.

You're mistaking Hamilton with the young rose knights that were killed in Italica this chapter. As other mention the ones in Italica were Shandy and Suissesse. Hamilton had been with Piña in the final battle all this time, last time we saw her close up was in chapter 141 page 21 or in this chapter right next to Piña in page 30.

Also Hamilton already had a relationship with someone local and implied to be already up to third base early in the manga when Piña and the Rose Knights were gossiping about relationships or sex experience, before even any of them hooked up with any of the JSDF.
