I've fasted for five days. I had to quit because I almost fainted every time I stood up, and I got short of breath just walking a couple of stairs. You should try it before you make claims like that.
I DID. 3rd day is the worst. but in 4th, can't really tell the difference with normal days. in 5th, table start to look delicious tho. I definitely could hold a few more days seeing I'm still more than capable to chase my nephew when he accidently took something of mine. guess that and tending the farms for 5 days straight make my hunger really unbearable, which lead to table look delicious somehow.

Oh, yeah, can she prove it then? Its his word against hers and hes her SUPERIOR which in Japan means a lot. Also no one is gonna step in that cesspool of situation and risk to get in trouble with their superiors. She would have been heavily punished for trying to stain the company's reputation and the ofender would have gotten at worst a slap on the wrist or even praised for weeding out a "problematic" employee. Is either bite the bullet and endure it or leave the company if you cant, not middle grounds and sadly this kind of situation happened often.

"The nail that sticks out gets hammered down" is a japanese saying that gives quite of an insight of their mentality even if they are starting to move forward slowly

An office that big always have CCTVs installed on each and every corner, which is easy to grab the footage of the incident or the aftermath.

Besides, she can get an autopsy report about her injury, which then can be used for evidence, if she decides to prosecute this matter.

This is actually a very easy case, in which she could win, and sue the hell out of the guy (or the company), because she was literally assaulted by someone in that company.

Lastly, I seriously baffled that I could find corporate bootlickers here in Mangadex, and from multiple users none the less...

Like, y'all seriously letting an assaulter scots free, or even giving threats that the victim would get "BlAckLisTEd fROm aNY JobS" if they reported it?

Fucking hell...

There's millions of jobs available out there, and not only as a corporate slave, so it's not the end of the world if you're getting blacklisted from a job, since you can get a much better job elsewhere.

And if you DID getting blacklisted when you're not in the wrong, even more like this girl where she was assaulted, then you can brought this matter to the court, which will be an easy win if you have all the evidence.

Just hope that kind of thing won't happen to you, or you'll be eating those words.

Are you stupid? People have already explained to you why that isn't an option for her.

Imagine when someone assaulted you in the office, to the point that you're injured, and you don't do anything? I wonder who's the stupid one here...

Need a mirror, bruh?

Utamaru, I'm no lover of corporations either, and I definitely think that abuse by bosses shouldn't fly anywhere. Unfortunatly....it does,,, In addition to the issues already given to you, I'd like to note that even in countries not insanely hierarchical like Japan is, challenging a big company as an individual is difficult. Legal cases cost a lot time and money to complete, time and money even a middle-class individual might not have. Thus, even in cases that should be slam dunks, many might feel that it's best to just cut your losses and move on with your life rather than pursue justice.

Now that I've mentioned the financial element, I'd also like to note the tendency for people (at least in what I've studied) who have been abused to not interpret what they're going through as abuse.

I was going to complain about the bru and beg you not to make everyone sound like a bunch of wankers.

But the mention of the Shadow Mistress of Darkness made me smile.

Probably with the sharp edge hitting the head in a bad angle, the scalp can bleed a lot even with a shallow cut
Or the author created a completely unrealistic, nonsensical backstory so he can keep the reasons why she's a shut-in "objective" and simultaneously make the reader more sympathetic towards her

It's one or the other

Did they actually say honkai star rail? Or is that just the questionable translation?

Youll be surprised of how many similar cases actually exist in Japan. Some superiors are completely jackasses and considering how important in Japan hierarchy is most of the time wont face any consecuences at all while their subordinates either enduring and/or eventually leaving the company. Not all the Hikikomoris start from school, many come from being unable to cope with the harshness of their work enviroment and its a problem that is becoming really serious lately

In Japan something really bad must happen so that it goes to the tribunals and has any realistic chance of winning when its an individual against a company, and even in those cases sometimes they are covered with money behind doors to avoid the company losing face

Many westerners working in Japan have stated that the work routine and enviroment there is completely different from the west and the rigid hierarchy makes thing as surreal as a mid level boss following his idea that is completely doomed from the start and their subordinates arent even allowed to give advice telling him that is a horrible idea, instead they must work on it until it obviously fail and the boss makes a surprised pikachu face by then.

In Japan the boss is never wrong and the subordinates must follow them no matter what, not doing that would be stepping out of your boundaries something extremly frowned upon

Good luck in Japan's society speaking against your superiors. Traditionally speaking you would get fired and would never get another decent job since you would be blacklisted from most companies, and be assured that no coworker that saw the scene would dare to testify on her favor to avoid being labeled as problematic as well. In Japan's society if a boss says a white pidgeon is black his subordinates only can say "yes indeed" as crazy as it sounds

Things are gradually changing in Japan but theres still a long way to go, specially if you are a female
i distinctly remember that a korean aircraft crashed directly as a result of this: the captain's attitude indicator (the half-blue half-brown round instrument that represents the aircraft's orientation relative to the horizon, also named "artificial horizon") was faulty and showed the plane as being level regardless of its actual orientation. the first officer's attitude indicator, meanwhile, showed the correct reading - and so did the backup one.

so when they needed to turn, the captain kept on banking harder and harder due to his indicator not showing any changes. the first officer meanwhile, knew that they were going way over the limit, and he'd already realised that the captain's indicator was faulty - but because the captain is the superior in the cockpit, he decided to shut up instead of actually saying anything, which resulted in both of their deaths when the plane crashed as a result.

i did some research and found the wikipedia article about it. korean air cargo flight 8509, all 4 occupants killed.

while these people may have been korean, the japanese have exactly the same problem.

At this point I think it's easier to just not read it if it provokes you too much.
I wouldn’t be commenting if I had no tolerance for 4chan-speak
The thing is that even on 4chan those edgy “jokes” are just cringe so I really don’t get the point of “meme translations” if it’s not even adding any type of comedy to it.

I wasn’t familiar with the group but thanks for the heads up.
