I must admit that a lot of the politics in these chapters are going over my head, but even then, I still think that Aurora's plans make absolutely no sense at all.

From what I get, commoners are in the process of staging a coup because they are being manipulated by the anti-royalty faction that pretends to use them as pawns to overthrow the current government, and then they will swoop in, quash it, and take the power for themselves. So Lapis' plan to lure out the faction and thus get revenge on them by killing Lapis is...to enact a genocide of the commoners??? What is the logic in doing that?

Her plans also seem to completely ignore Gran's role and how he is the one most likely to end her life if her plans go off without a hitch, thus tainting her goal of turning Lapis into a martyr who will be forever remembered. And then we still have, to see how all of this is going to be brought back to the idea that everything is actually just a gacha.

Personally, I feel that Nekotarou just lost the plot here.

One of the hardest parts to translate in this chapter was actually the plan Lapis/Aurora talks about. Trying to frame it in the best way to make her goal clear was tough because even I was losing the plot line... the way it's written in Japanese explains things super broadly, which leaves way too much room for ambiguity imo.

But here’s how I interpreted her train of thought:
If you just forcefully crush the anti-noble faction, the revolutionary sentiment isn't gonna go away.

BUT, if you bait them into acting recklessly—causing a ton of deaths in the process—a lot of the commoners will realize that faction is just foolish because they caused casualties, killed the princess, and lost their leader on top of that. That extinguishes the rebellion sentiment while gaining some sympathy for the innocent young noble/royal girl who died. Ultimately, it cools down the revolutionary spirit, allowing the kingdom to endure. It lets them wipe out the corrupt low-rank nobles, but obviously at the cost of sacrificing commoners. Her mindset is pretty much "the ends justify the means."

At least, that's how I read it lol.

Use Ai for beyond ez. Only type 3 word. Lol.
Nah, even though this scanlation is something I started pretty recently, I'm actually kinda old school lol. I've been doing this since way before generative AI was even a thing, so it's really just my own stubbornness and pride (?) thinking "there's no fucking way I can't clean this damn raw myself."

This is me

Yup. The idea is to redirect the commoner's revolution into ousting the anti-royal/anti-noble nobility with herself as a sacrifice. Then the Royal Family can clean up the mess with cooperation with the commoners.

The plan makes sense in the way that it has a requirement and an end goal, but I wouldnt say its a good plan.

Hell yeah, you don't need that slop and your work looks fantastic. Feel free to take your time with it.

The plan is bad because fundamentally Lapis/Aurora wants to get a lot of people killed and then get herself killed. She has been consumed by hatred since OgLapis died, hatred for the commoners, hatred for the ARN/ANF and hatred for herself. She tells herself she is doing this for OgLapis but she is actually doing it for herself.

And that is good writing, characters are allowed to act in stupid self-destructive ways because people act in stupid self-destructive ways.

THe cover page remember of how Lapis is inspired on Claire of WataOshi. But remember this worlf is based in a gacha game, could the fate of this girls be so tragic in this type of story?

Exactly! It's not the best plan, but she said herself that she was ready to play the villain. Her whole mindset is pure resentment, wanting to carry out her revenge without caring about the consequences. That's part of her character flaws, and honestly, that's a good thing because Natori is precisely the one who helps her balance that out.

Someone who believes they do not deserve to be saved because they feel responsible for Lapis' death. That guilt drives a willingness to martyr themselves for the sake of the kingdom that Lapis wanted to protect.

In my stead... was the last thing Lapis said before passing. Aurora took those words literally by essentially becoming her, so that Lapis would not "truly die." She considers her own life forfeit, and cannot stand the thought of the kingdom forgetting Lapis. So she intends to become the princess and turn her death into a spectacle, ensuring that Lapis' memory and her vision for the kingdom will endure.

I could be interpreting this wrong, but it seems Aurora intends for both her and Diana to die. By having two major symbols fall together, one from the commoner anti-nobility faction and one from the nobility and royalty faction, both sides would finally realize that the losses far outweigh their gains and ultimately cease fighting.

Thank for the translations!
I can't believe a deemure gay hag that gets regularly dommed by these two teenagers is what is going to unravel the both of them with her useless lesbian aura

Small interview with Nekotarou about the series.

https://thetv.jp/news/detail/1444102/

According to Google Translate, she doesn't say much new other than that she was aiming to make a truly villainous main character and that she planned the story to be only three volumes long, but that thanks to the support, she went to six volumes and is confident she will deliver the best ending possible. So I guess there is only a volume left.
