@Randomizer maybe electricity is much easier to use/control, not everyone is a top mage, so converting mana to other stuff might be harder than in most fantasy worlds. Electricity on the other hand is fast but slower than light, and be conducted or blocked fairly easy, transistor technology is based on electricity. Also converting electricity to other forms of energy is simple, and maybe someone else was also isekai'd who was an electric engineer.
