oh lmao i didnt even bother reading the chapter since i had read it already i just marked it read. but that is dumb if they did that and MD followed through since no matter what the only way to get it before it is published in the origin country would be to be on staff for that publisher no? if they got it from the magazine then it has already been released in the country of origin. (edit: checked discord as long as its physically published in the origin country it wont be removed, (so the site release doesnt matter to much unless its the only published form. so that wouldnt have been the reason for it being removed. At least if it was the reason and it was released already then thats a MD staff responding and removing it still.)

It's one of the consequences (the worse of which is abysmal quality due to unchecked MTL releases) of allowing a hobby to become an opportunity for a quick buck. Everyone who has been "supporting" groups monetarily has voted for this and more. The bottom is still quite a way down though.

Like Chapter 48 was released in Issue Vol.54 aka., March 2025 Issue of "Comic Ride Advance (コミックライドアドバンス)" which was released back on February 10, 2025. (i checked the Raws of this Issue, and the Chapter is in it)

In Issue Vol.55 aka., April 2025 Issue of Comic Ride Advance which was released on March 10, 2025, the ToC mentions this Series, meaning Chapter 49 was released in this issue back in March. (didn't find the Raws for this Issue yet)

So, the upcoming Issue Vol.56 aka., June 2025 Issue releasing on April 8, 2025 is going to have Chapter 50.

I'll withhold judgement until I can honestly prove that Kitty did report GDS to remove competition. I can't possibly say whether or not Kitty did report it to get it removed.

However, if it is true that they indeed did that, they are pretty scummy. The reason why most people hate GDS is because they horde mangas, but then "forget" to upload the current translated raws. People still read GDS despite this reason because their TLs are often good.

You don't remove competition, even if that is GDS. Let the community decide whether they'll read yours or not.

seems this guy reported them to get their chapter taken down so he could beg for money instead

edit : being more specific here for those lazy to scroll further
this guy is claiming at the end of the chapter he "found out that gds were uploading 1 week before the actual release", this is a violation of mangadex rules
however they ARE NOT DOING THAT, the chapter releases one month early on comic ride advance and as such he simply lied
the fact he is saying that also implies he falsely reported the chapter and mangadex took it down for that reason

I'm just going to block and report the group then, since this seems to be true.
