From what I understood and saw 1 or 2 times, it's not better.
True, there're groups whose uploads on MD are days, weeks or a few chapters behind...but will still add it on MD sooner or later.
What GDS does is work on a ton of titles and sometimes it so happens that a title does not get an update for months. Then, someone works on a chapter of said title, from the point GDS supposedly stopped, and, all of a sudden, they upload 4-5 chapters or everything till par.
It could be but, considering how many title they work on, it's improbable that they death march on said title just to catch up and beat the competition. That would mean that they worked on those chapters already and simply didn't post them here.

"Stark" can also mean "severe" or "clearly delineated" (e.g., "in stark contrast") in English. So saying "the numerical advantage ... was stark" works, though personally, I think it's a little awkward. Maybe "the numerical advantage ... was severe" or "the numerical advantage ... was extreme" would fit better.
More like they did a rush release because of the other release, because the chapter raw been out for like a week.

...I don't think that TL/N about the flower was really necessary, seems pretty self evident from context even if you didn't know about it beforehand.
f anything, I'd rather a TL/N on why Poizo ends every other sentence with a "you know". Is it really like that in the raws? Or some speech quirk that's far less weird and grating in the original, but the TL couldn't find a better alternative translation for it?

Will probably be reading both myself. Love to see small translators coming into the scene, but their translation doesn't feel quite right just yet (understandably so, having just gotten started), so for the time being having GD as something to read through quick for cross-referencing purposes is nice.

When compared to comicdom, GD’s antics is just an inconvenience at best.
IMO GD’s relatively benign since their only fallacy is picking up multiple lesser popular mangas then only coming back later if sniped, since they do usually regularly upload the more popular ones into MD. The most offensive groups are the ones that paywall releases behind patreon, are on a virus-laden site, or even worse…based their operations on their godsdamned youtube ch for whatever reason so they can get ad revenue.

Yeah, there was a big gap after LN Vol.6 was released, but LN Vol.7 had already released with even it's official translation out, and LN Vol.8 is going to release by the end of this month (aka., by end of November 2024).
Readers tend not to understand the issue that most translators faced when they have too much title to translate, they will sacrifice some of them to keep others running. It doesnt fall to this one, other translators also have some of them did not released by miles away from RAW like Mangasushi back then have their released stalled by 50 chapters (my house is a magic power hotspot) till some translator sniped them and they translate them back slowly but sure and same thing like LHtranslation where they have Isekai Nonbiri Nouka monthly or bi-monthly release to keep them running while treid to catching up with Raws (Raws release by weekly).
The more reader hate them, the more likely translators will dropped them and the sniper will take them as a troll and let it abandoned. Just let them do the job and if there is no information from them why they are dropping it, we can ask them politely for the reason.
