I think volume sales wise Grapara is comfortably far away from getting the axe, but again maybe a planned ending is just right around the corner anyway. 129 was definitely one peak, but I can still see a new peak, like Shinobu knocking fukboi down a few pegs and showing everyone how dumb they were including Sakura.

If he hits him next chapter I would be very surprised because I don't think that fits Katsura Airi writing style for her male leads.

Would be a great move, I think the Artist could pull it off, Shinobu clears every Katsura Airi MC to date, even if that hurdle was only a few inches off the ground. Only issue I have is that striking fuckboi in any way immediately closes any chance of negotation with fuckboi, so then Shinobu will have to go and find a different workaround to get to Sakura.

• she may visit her child only with her husband's permission, which means almost never (she lost contact with her child)

her employer (termination of employment),

Specifically any chances that would've stemmed from the fuckboi, but a workaround could exist, he could get in touch with Sakura's Mom, call up Ryusei (guy who saw them off) and see if he knows anything. It's definitely simpler to ty to get the fuckboi to believe him at this point in time unless fuckboi's mask comes off any further.

But boy would it be satisfying to see something like that right out the gate on the first panel. Sadly slugging the fuckboi is a no go, Shinobu needs to be diplomatic as possible and play out the negotiations (if there will be any) using all of his wit. The situation may not be on Shionbu's side but the truth is.

Oh, I totally agree with that, that situation would improve the manga a little, but I think it would actually make things worse for him if he wants to reconcile with Sakura hahaha

Yea it's rough out there right now. No one but the creators working on it knows where the story will go from here. While I might have a bit less sympathy for Katsura Airi, I like the artist for this one so I'm hoping they've held more than 1 meeting since 129/130 dropped. Author definitely pulled a stooge move, but surely with the Artist and Editor involved they don't end up as the 3 stooges here at the end of all this.

Possibly, for a weekly release like this one they probably like to keep 1 or 2 chapters ahead of scheduled release for comfort, so I imagine if they had to do some redraws in response to public feedback than deadlines might get pretty tight. Keep in mind that despite the intense public feedback they've gotten, sales ultimately are what matter most and all that engagement boost really helped with that, so they have the option of doing nothing, and the radio silence is just them not wanting to deal with the many emotionally feral readers on social media right now. From what I've been able to read up on, the manga sales have remained stable for the most part, but that could change dramatically with future volumes coming out. All we can hope for is that the creators had a better vision for this manga when they let the writer put their fetishes in for a chapter.

Sorry to bring it back to an old topic but just had a shower thought, instead of hitting the fuckboi, it'd be funny if Shinobu just punched himself in the face (right around the cheek areas, just pick a side) and then tells fuckboi that he never cheated on Sakura to begin with. The punch has two purposes, the first is to counteract the emotional damage of him finding out that he just got cheated on, and the second is to bring in some literal impact to shake fuckboi up a bit (without putthing hands on him). This way they can have a more genuine and fair conversation instead of the smug all-business tone fuckboi started off with, because he thinks he has the absolute advantage with Shinobu being some cheater that just got dumped.
