yeah, lets blame a kid for breaking a rule we never mentioned. and It's totally okay to overlook the fact that there are people who need medical and psychological treatment, and focus on bullying a little girl in front of them. Such responsible and enlightened behavior.

These "adults" are dumb as hell, even for xenophobes. Do they not care that the other kids are in distress and injured, and will probably view them poorly if they attack her right now? they can justify all they want, but that doesn't work, if the trust is lost.

Elves? More like, humans cursed with long ears. Or even goblins.

They don't have the ranger prowess to set up reliable patrols around their village. Which is kind of mandatory for elven villages that don't burn down in the prologue.
Their village shows no signs of being in harmony with nature. No signs of widespread magic use either.
No signs of anybody being ancient either.
They're awfully fertile, having a whole lot of children. And they don't seem to care for their lives at all, confident they can always make more.

They live within daily walking distance (for a child even) of a human settlement, how the fucking shit can they call themselves isolated, no blocking illusion magic, no big wall that says keep out, not even a dense forest you can just follow the river...
Author please this has to have happened multiple times before unless this comminuty is just a few years old, is it?

Anyway, sucks to be MC, born and raised by people that didn't manage to live with others so they formed what is basically a cult village in some random forest, murderering anyone that finds them.

you all have a point calling it isolated when a child can reach it, not making it known to the outside that they dont tolerate visitors and not explaining the rules to children that are allowed to explore the forest on there own.

if you would have grown up in a village only with elves, would you even suspect that there could be any non elves right outside?
