i think that the saint power is the reason why FL died in the past, after all a high ranking mage dying so easily is a little off

I'm certain that if the “new,” reincarnated saintess who knows the “original story” is evil, this will be a part of what finally trips her up. She'll try to use this exact scenario to frame Rachel as a last resort, and succeed only in making a clown out of herself, since the current Rachel wouldn't be able to use any magic.

Well, that's assuming that the fact that Rachel has lost all of her magic would be kept a secret, or that the saintess would somehow remain oblivious to it. Though, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she remained oblivious even if it wasn't kept a secret, since the reincarnated white lotus bitches are usually stupid as hell, using ONLY their knowledge of the original story, nothing else.
Adding my comment with predictions in the last chapter:

Rachel's regression may have been the work of a spirit king, who blessed her for some reason. However, for it to work with my previous comment's assumptions, it can't be the Water Spirit King. The other option I see is that Theodore Camus was the reason for her regression (though that would be even stranger than the spirit king theory).

Oh, and this “research” might ruin my prediction from the previous chapter, since I feel like they're researching ways for her to regain her magic. On the other hand, it would make for a cool moment if it were revealed during her “condemnation event,” that she doesn't have any magic power (to exonerate her from the crimes the saintess accused her of), only for Louis to reveal that he has a way to bring it back for her.
