It’s bizarre how a priest who spends much of his time as a genuinely caring parental figure has the sudden possessive single-mindedness and lack of foresight to exchange everything to kidnap Rachel. It’s not like we didn’t expect the second suitor to step past boundaries, or even go full stalker-kidnapper, but this still felt abrupt and out of character.
Despite him giving off the weird feeling early on, I feel like this escalated very fast. Like bam, I am super evil now and I have my connections in the capital.
But we all know what this means, prince is gonna ride in and do some stuff and save her.
Hmm i think the story moved a bit faster than WN, which is a good thing because as far as I remember, this arc was toooooo slow on any story progression
Of course we knew he was sus and he was gonna try to come in between them, but i did NOT expect this development at all.
As others commented, I didn't have that bad of an opinion of him, but way to break it super fast.
