it feels weird that we're already aiming towards a confession, or at least some form of emotional progress on Almelia. Don't wanna be That Guy who dooms about The Axe, but it does feel strikingly off Estelle does that whole spiel like A Major Shift is gonna occur immediately after. Even the maid Serina was chatting with last chapter sorta had that vibe after they were done.

Could just be me looking too deep though. It's not quite uncommon for a romance story - especially a romcom - to have a confession early(ish) on, yet still continue. Heck, Blooming Love over on Manga+ is a modern example of that.

It’s just we finally get a manga that doesn’t drag or pull nonsense tropes. The girls are straightforward enough and the people of the story aren’t comical so the progress made feels not silly. Also the isekai character isn’t a 30 year old office worker grooming a high schooler so thank god.

Saying no and wanting to go your own path would be something he would approve of as long as he isn't a hypocrite. Maybe he takes Almelia in as a vassal instead?
