I am not familiar with any such organizations, their law practices or Galileo's trick; google can't help me either. Can you drop me a link?

Also, as I said, human decency is more important than arbitrary laws. There is, however, a gigantic gap between disagreement that hamfisting your own moral compass and sexual orientation to adhere to the laws of your country of residence and universal support and acceptance of all illegal relationships.

An analogue: Saying 'I like weed, but it is illegal here, so I support legalisation' does not imply 'I want children to smoke crystal meth and inject heroin and open the discussion to legalisation of all drugs'.

Luckily, in my country, you are supposed to develop your own moral compass based on solid education and socialisation, while laws are usually shaped based around the moral compass of the masses (with some egotistical politician's values sprinkled in and usually delayed by 20 years). But the important thing is that they are subject to change. E.g. a good ''''recent'''' change: It is now illegal to rape your wife after 20 years of politicians discussing it.

Happy Hagure Wednesday, see you in the new thread

@Myorn https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Galileo_gambit Gallileo's trick is when, in response to massive criticism and ridicule, you compare yourself to the scientists of the past (mainly Gallileo), implying that they were also bullied by commons, who did not understand their genius. For obvious reasons, this method of reasoning is widespread among various pseudo-scientists, charlatans, or people who are mocked for their attempts to organize radical changes in any views or approaches.

When it comes to boy lovers, I meant these people https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Man/Boy_Love_Association. They were so widely known for their attempt to declare pedophilia a separate form of sexuality that it was even ridiculed repeatedly in South Park. These guys modernized the previous trick, creating a very convenient form of "gays were also once oppressed by the law and condemned by ordinary people", which was then also copied by various autistic organizations or greens. In other words, the original pseudo-scholarly trock was combined with LGBTQ argumentation to be used as a defense of those controversial things that could not even get through LGBTQ activism.

I see, but isn't that whataboutism within whataboutism?
That is: you subjugate your moral compass and sexual orientation to your country's laws and treat those laws as strict and rigid. Pointing out that there have been cases where people (What about pedophile organizations) tried to change these laws by swaying public opinion (trying to put themselves in a victim role (what about Galileo, gays, etc.)), you disregard my argument that laws should not be guiding principles in the moral compass of a society or an individual in the first place, but merely a reflection of it.

Or in short: The number 1 reason NOT to diddle kids, is not because it is forbidden to diddle kids, but because diddling kids is not a decent thing to do.

In what fucking society does a fucking boy lover association form in the first place (fucking pun not intended lmao) Only USA, land of the barely legal porn (the hypocrisy is right there)

@Myorn Here we find ourselves in a vicious circle. If we make the laws too strict, it will lead to totalitarianism. If too loose, it will lead to widespread abuse of loopholes. For example, I live in Russia, where laws are often insanely strict, but at the same time, society traditionally ignores many. It even became a meme. As a result of this, any court in our country is a separate adventure.

That was so unbelievably stupid.
Monumental size differences that looked like the bad art in Hokuto No Ken, and the author's usual obsession with piss rears its ugly head again.
