It’s a common trope but honestly the forgetting someone from your childhood part is less annoying than other obviously forced trope. We all have forgotten someone in our life and probably don’t even notice it. People live life from the perspective of their own; something special someone did to you would stick in your mind much more than it would for them. You would remember them for said event, but would they remember you?

I'm glad i'm not the only one to pick up on the fact that their romance already sailed, wrecked and sank from the word "go" because all of this started when she threatened to accuse him of rape. Author can't really say that she's some sort of narcissist that thinks little of someone for a moment then says she's actually pretending to be retarded the next. Not the mention the fact that the guy constantly finds the best about her, completely disregarding the fact that she was manipulative AF.

Imagine how much more interesting this story might be if the false rape accusation at the beginning actually had consequences.
Like imagine the story going like this:
she comes up with the false rape accusation idea in a split second moment, worried that she'll lose this chance. She doesn't think of the consequences, why would she? She undoes every mistake she makes and probably has never had to actually deal with negative consequences. So she goes through with the idea and it massively backfires. Mc agrees to become her closet but now hates her guts. Realizing she just made the guy she's in love with think she's a psychopath she trys to undo it. Only to then realize that, because of how her powers work she can't. She can undo everything as much as she wants but mc will always remember what she did.
