I think it's because it's a curve ball. Story keeps switching from absurd comedy, to ecchi drama, to fetish softcore. The mood change gives us whiplash that disturbs our immersion. Kinda like when you're enjoying some vanilla action, then suddenly the actor takes a shit in the actress's mouth. A real mood killer.

Incorrect Kaho wanted to have Shirwasa film once she saw his film of the two teachers having sex he put into a student assembly film.
Also the premise about the collaboration of risque projects to show at the end of year could be a serious theme. It would have been intereting to see how the FMC/MC dynamic changes as they get to know each other while pushing the line on safe videos. The main plots had been derailed by a bunch of somewhat less than stellar side plots.
