I do hope we don't lean too heavily into a harem here.

Oooh, or maybe divide the harem between the original MC and reincarnator. Don't think I've seen that done before.

I will say, these people need to stop treating an alternate reality like a bunch of code with binary event flags. An event being part of the original plot and not are irrelevant to how they impact the future. Something that has as big of an audience of this is obviously going to impact his first impression and subsequent relationship with other characters.

Your first part seems entirely unrelated to anything I said. The second part, I've largely come to disdain the "butterfly effect" trope because its frequently used by lazy authors to justify anything they want regardless of how reasonable it is for it to happen instead of spending time building a coherent world view that would allow the change to naturally occur. With what we have been shown so far unless the protagonist is a reincarnator like Al then it is not reasonable for it to have rippled out to change a guy who would normally show up at level 1 at worst and level 10 at best to turn into a training maniac that would be similarly level to Al who should know how to grind levels efficiently.
I agree on the butterfly effect trope, the one exception I'd make is for the manhwa extra academy cause at least there he tries to be both proactive and reactive and list detailed reasons and consequences for things straying too far from the original game events.

The mc in this story however says one thing but then immediately contradicts himself in the next scene. Like wdym you're about to cause a scene in a public street or have a fancy 1 on 1 duel in front of the whole school after just claiming you don't want attention? he also seems lazy af

Now, for Alba, we just need one twisted older brother who likes to mind control him, one older brother who is a nerd like to play behind the scene, one younger brother who can't be controlled by the entire family except Alba and super clingy to him, one younger brother who has ambiguous gender, strict robotic strong parent, and badass grandpa, then we have Killua 2.0 minus the brain and sadistic trait lol.

I would love if they actually make the original mc of the game a legit competent, reoccurring character and have a friendly rivalry with Alba. And not make him either a forgotten character or a villain.

That seems to be what is happening here, right?
