Thanks for the translation.
ohhhhh you might be on to somethingMy money's been on that that's not her daughter. She broke up bc she had to go take care of a dead relative's baby or something along those lines.
That would be welcomed, if it was kept as a mystery, or not brought attention to immediately and then obfuscated with romantic/homely scenes.I do hope they stick with the "he's not the father" plot.
I mean, imagine if they went "oh, the daughter is actually X years, she's just short and had to miss a few years of school because of Y reason, she's actually MC daughter and mother left because she didn't want to burden MC with a baby" that would be a shit twist
Nope, all the way in Chapter 3 it was said fairly outloud Minori isn't his daughter. Decided to reread this manga quickly cause it's fluffy and nice. Thanks for the chapter!
I am guessing the daughter is the MC's daughter and she broke off things since neither were prepared to marry and settle so she just returned to her family. At least it would be an easy way to make her more sympathetic.
Lying about her age isn't out the question to be honest. The issue becomes, why? But then again, that the entire motivating factor for this series, if it was just cuteness it would get nowhere as much attention.I do hope they stick with the "he's not the father" plot.

Turn yourself in, please. There's hormone therapies that can help get rid of stuff like that. So, they won't move over. More opportunities for ex's daughter x MC ship![]()

My preferred headcanon is that she broke up with him because of his trust issues and hard to get close to, but didn't realize that she was pregnant until later. Then she got flustered and gave birth outside of institutions so her daughter didn't get registered at birth, so she didn't get registered until a couple of years later or something. It would fit her personality of being ditsy and avoiding the problem until they got out of hand.I hope the situation is she is actually MC's bio child and outside factors forced her to breakup with him. Mostlikely parents not wanting her to marry someone who's not planning for a more standard career specially after finding out she was pregnant. As for the age of the kid not aligning with the time of their breakup, couldve easily lied about it, not like she hasn't lied about anything else.
problem with that is that her age doesn't line up. he had thought about it as a possibility. so unless they lied about her age, i dont see it being the case. Thanks for the chapter!

Speak for yourself. I've never once cared who the father was, because it doesn't matter. "Dad" probably fucked off really early as the girl doesn't seem to have any attachment to him. Stuff like this happens sometimes. Some people are really nice when things are fun and easy, but become assholes when things stop being convenient. She's clearly moved on, so maybe y'all should tooEDIT: got me thinking about what is different with this one over all the other "surprise family" mangas, and it's this absolute level of secrecy that they've been keeping about the father, and the near-zero romance angle. So we're left asking questions instead of just reading, and doing so with very low level of investment into their happiness.
Telling us that "no, it's absolutely not the MC" is worse. Okay. Then who is it? They're dead and no one good, so she wants him forgotten and not even a memory? Great, then that means that she hooked up with an A-hole who died.
Considering we haven't heard anything about him so far, most likely he's out of the picture regardless.Speak for yourself. I've never once cared who the father was, because it doesn't matter. The trio's interactions are cute/funny and are the main reason I'm reading. The underlining mystery is just an extra bit of flavoring. A little bitter in an otherwise very sweet snack
It's easy going around that, my suspicion if author goes that route is that she gave birth outside of a hospital and never registered her until she was a couple of years old or something. Not that if I know if that's even possible in Japan, but a story is a story.problem with that is that her age doesn't line up. he had thought about it as a possibility. so unless they lied about her age, i dont see it being the case.
I am quote replying to you because I'm starting to think you're fucking calling it, and I want to be on record as calling it too, as well as to bookmark exactly when we called it.I do hope they stick with the "he's not the father" plot.
