I see a lot of the people trying to defend the mom, and they keep making it out like both her and the MC simply broke up and mutually split up 17 years ago. When it was clearly stated in the first chapter that they were dating and she straight up just disappeared without reason or without breaking up. No letter / text to end things or to explain.

And then all of a sudden she is loitering the in MC garden with a kid, that is clearly not the MC's due to the kids age. and its clear she is just taking advantage of the MC's kindness. with how she keeps dodging the issue like she is some kind of international spy.

If she can't give a valid explanation to why she dropped of the face of the earth when they were still in a relationship. then she had no right going to the MC to ask for help.

Lots of people seem to mistaken the one who is in the wrong here.
-The daughter though ungrateful and annoying, is still in her rebellious phase and suspicious of the dude who take them in in a heart beat.
-The mother only care for her daughter's life (she has a job) and of course she's dodgy about their life before coming to his place, as poorly as she tries to hide it.
-The friend who randomly drop by his house to check on him is the real gold.
