I don't take homeless people in because I don't know them. (I've still fed them and clothed them and dedicated time to helping them, but maybe I'm just a decent human being.)I can understand where the people who support this is coming from, but that only makes sense if you ignore the elephant in the room. This isn’t really realistic, and it’s not being an incel for criticising.
I’m not even your typical virgin otaku with no irl experience. I’ve had a few relationships already. So when I think about it, “my gf disappears from my life and comes back later with another man’s child,” there’s no way I’d simply leave things unaddressed and not feel betrayed.
It’s disguised as wholesome, masked under, “human decency,” to help someone. Then why aren’t you taking in homeless people?
At most, even if you do help, a more plausible scenario is one where you are distant with her. Setting limits, boundaries, rent, etc.
I will only agree it can be wholesome if the issues are actually addressed instead of making the mc a beta cuck. Based on what the comments are saying.
If someone I did know and had cared about in the past came to me asking for help, I'd help them. Wanting to help someone doesn't make you a "beta cuck". I also pretty distinctly remember him saying it would be temporary until they found somewhere else to live. God forbid giving shelter to a woman and a child and keeping them off the streets until they can get on their feet.
Is he paying their rent? Is he paying their mortgage? No. He's giving them room he already had available in his house. That's not very far to go.
Again, I didn't keep up with this manga, but I'm pretty sure she didn't murder his family and/or get deliberately and hatefully gangbanged by his archenemies in front of him or anything else that would give him a good reason to hate her or actively deny her shelter.
