What a waste of great art style with such a cheap story. Mangakas like this one should just focus on drawing and leave the plot to someone else.

@Lynkaster: Drama aint a bad think, not every manga out there has to be a wholesome rom-com where everything is nice, pure and heartwarming. What is bad is bad drama, just as with bad comedy or bad romance or bad action. A genre isnt bad, its bad how its portrayed.
Well, the series before the NTR was already bad and boring, during the NTR at least wasnt boring, now its both again.

Reading the other reviews here have only confirmed the suspicion I've carried: a review reveals more about the reviewer than it does the work under review.

And nowhere more so, it seems, than with this manga.

Hare-kon is gorgeous; that's beyond doubt. Anything outside of that is a matter of ferocious debate... as you can probably tell from the reviews.

My two cents: Hare-kon is NOT the manga you're looking for if you have idealised notions of love and/or you MUST have all your MCs in a happy ever after. In fact, if you believe a manga like this ought to have only 2 protagonists who end up together after a bajillion hurdles (which they overcome together with the sheer power of LOVE!!)... then this manga probably isn't for you either.

The brilliance of this manga, imho, is how it takes a ridiculous premise and peels off the layers, much like you would for an onion. Cliche, I know. But keep at it, gaze beyond the superficial story (with it's ridiculous premise) and what looks back at you in the end is an honest and sobering thesis on the human heart and what it is capable of, the institution of marriage and what it has become, and the idea that while the world would probably be a better place if everyone would just try to see things from another perspective every once in a while, not all problems are easy to solve and nothing is ever black and white.

Alright so maybe Hare-kon doesn't cover all viewpoints, present a thorough treatment of the subject or bring about world peace. It doesn't pretend to. The best thing about Hare-kon is that it doesn't beat you about the head with the mangaka's opinions; rather, she presents the questions (sometimes verbally, sometimes situationally) and leaves you to work it out in your own time.

We are all, after all, from different backgrounds and at different points on this journey we call life.

...Oh, and of course it helps very much that the characters are easy on the eye. :) Cannot say this enough: the artwork is exquisite!

What a fvck all manga. I like harem but this is trash. Tries to be realistic but becomes an absolute bore.

@ABCsOfLife

Very different series' I agree.

That said, I've not read it since the assault on the nobles land... I think it just came off hiatus 2 years ago?

If the author's name is NON, does that mean there's a OUI somewhere? XD
