Changes from web novel:

• Biggest change: Kent spilled the beans about spying in the bath, and got interrogated by the girls about it in their tent, while the boys interrogated Takayama about Celia. Then, when Kent reported to Yuika, he came clean about spying on both her and Camilla in the bath, resulting in Kent getting a vicious beating from Yuika, and her making Kent promise to take responsibility.
• Kent only had the 3 skeletons, so it was really touch and go and Kent using the knife technique to cut internal organs was clutch. Motomiya got to make another lewd remark when Kent asked for her knife.

Even in the web novel, it seemed like the author thought he went too far with how cruel Yuika treats Kent and tried to backpedal some, so it makes sense the Light Novel would go further to alleviate fans hating her. Though that scene may be combined with her smelling better other girls on him later.

I think it was managed okay, they're young and stressed so them acknowledging they went overkill is enough. I think the social dynamic and the fact Kento is going to be the leader going forward will take longer to cement.

Hero-kun's ego has clearly been inflated and he'll probably even lose to the 4 who came earlier and have been training, glasses-kun doesn't count. I think Kento will have to clearly lead all of them to keep the egos in check and actually get them working effectively in a plan. Every new group of kids is gonna have to be dealt with the same way going forward.

I think he forgot that they didn't get to fight actual monsters before this, like this is only their second encounter with them.
And the training in the camp they've undergone was lukewarm at best since all they did was receive abuse.
Except maybe the blond guy, but he also was exempt from "training" cause his starting skills were better than others.

What did THEY do to help their classmate that died? Heck one spoonful of their own rations once every few days in rotation would be more than enough to keep him from starving, did they do it? Nah, and save for the loli teacher everyone else was fine as long as there was someone treated worse than they did...

Fucking hypocrites one and all...the MC is too damn weak character wise....anyone and I mean ANYONE, at this point would break and start beating them or heck , start pushing back verbally.

Where were they when he was sent to certain death in the forest for the "sin" of being without magic? Where were they when he was literally being eaten alive by goblins? At the very least I would have reinheardt break the blond guys arm in multiple places just to establish who is in charge here.

And they have the gall to condemn him for "not saving them sooner" nah, fuck this, if that's how you are going to act you are on your own, enjoy the company of the creatures of the forest. THAT is how a normal person would react when the people he saved (when he literally owed them nothing) insult and abuse him.

Again, that's not something a simply "sorry" can fix.

Honestly, no, you don't get to be such a fucking hypocrite as his classmates are and get off easy with a simple sorry.

Would you be ok if the people whom you saved, using your personal resources and possible risk you own well being(after they let you be sent to certain death, just because it's better you than them) abused you as much, because "you didn't save them sooner", like it was somehow your responsibility?.

The MC deserves WAY more than that, but he was written too spineless to be able to stand his ground and teach his classmates what's what.

Honestly I think the way they handled the apology was fine. It felt more realistic and that they were actually apologetic after learning the truth. The Hero needs to be dragged for being a screwup and useless though. And maso girl will need to join the MC's harem as his outlet
