I'm glad we had it established by the old man at the start that they will have to function as adults essentially and be responsible for themselves. They're still acting childish but the scenario they're in should've made it clear, Kento should now clearly set the hierarchy. Thank fuck.
I think it's a good pay off for the clashes that have happened before with his classmates too they really aren't aware the degree to which they don't matter in that world outside of the meaning Kento can carve for them. The next chapter should be satisfying.
Also, who the fuck steps on a kid's head?
If you inherited or built up a shop over a generation and some kids burnt it down a day after they arrived in town I wouldn't be particularly empathetic to a guy who says he's friends with them. We know what Kento's done but he basically seems like some random kid who was let into town who then brought more kids and started a huge ruckus. It's still a bit much though.
