@xtremeloldude I think the floor number is correct, but the LN puts a lot of emphasis on just how out of their league everything is down here. They can kill 1 monster at a time, but only if it holds still long enough for Erin to hit it with her most powerful attack. Multiple monsters is a death sentence, screwing up their ambush is a death sentence, getting caught while asleep is a death sentence, etc. They don't actually consider hunting monsters at all until they are about to starve.

@Darris Yeah it makes way more sense that she breaks down after weeks of being inches from death, rather than just a few days.

This manga sure is strange man, a few chapters ago we were showed that Stealth was of value and monsters couldn't even sense you if you were in front of them, and now these 2 can't even escape from whichever floor they are into ? what happened ? is there something we are missing compared to novel readers ? I don't know mana consumption or something (concept which wasn't even introduced), maybe Stealth only works for certain types of enemies or something ? if not this feels too forced

It seems they are using it and have been using it, the boss class suddenly appeared knowing their location.
The thing they were trying to do is find the teleportation crystal, so it's basically hide and seek on a very large floor while trying to not die of hunger.. then the big 360p surveillance camera suddenly turns on.

I don't know man, this type of cliche is annoying. What I mean is, in many type of stories, when the MC is somehow unreliable or at least just a bit lacking of something, there must be a side character that shuns and hates him for that with whatever their reason. But when it comes to a situation where a side character makes a mistake that is even worse than a MC would do, there will be a character or more that support(s) them. It just feels unfair.
