I don't understand people who complain about a manga showing characters other than the MC. Would you want to watch/read Star Wars or LotR if every scene without Frodo or Luke were cut out? Sometimes other characters are important to the story.

that mentality of those people reminds me of a classic Simpsons moment:

whenever Poochie's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Poochie?"

To be fair, watching a movie with all the side characters cut out would be kind of funny (Greg Miller) like those videos of basketball games with all the sound cut out except the sneaker squeaks. But I wouldn't want to do it regularly.

I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if it was some form of gooner brainrot formed from reading/playing too much self-insert garbage. But it's different strokes for different folks I guess.

I know I quickly lose interest in any Isekai/Hunter/Wuxia garbage if none of the side characters matter at all in a power scale or story standpoint. It's why stuff like Second Life Ranker and Solo Leveling as two major examples will stay on my 'Dropped' list because the MC is the only relevant character while having a personality as boring as dishwater.
