Well it is her choice to believe that Power = Responsibility though, so it's not really a problem... plus she was taught that.
In stories there are those that will have different choices based on their character, and stories with clear cut, black-white morality is very common.
Character flaws are part of a story if you nitpick every detail then it won't be a story anymore but a documentary. You can dislike a story for having different ideas from you, but you can't really change that a character has character for a reason. If a character is lazy, you can't really say the character is dumb for being lazy, that's his character.
People have different views on things. The author or the character might not agree with your idea but that's that. Stories should not be bound by a single "right" ideology.
