According to what was written on the raws we were meant to get OVA containing the lives of the Idaten before then reincarnated as Idaten along with other stuff. But I couldnt find any trace of it anywhere online. No proof it was ever made
Is already translated, and it was pretty dark. Not going to post a site in fear of you know what.

OVA?? What
The text seems to be talking about vol. 9 tankoubon release, which would supposedly include those extra scenes.
The volume seems to indeed have released in autumn, so did you get the scans of it and it wasn't there or what? I don't understand

I remember a while ago someone noted that Cook-Kyu liked this mangaka's work and volunteered to do the art, but got busy with his other personal projects, and no longer wanted to work on it. What that meant was it had to be wrapped up, and thus we get the accelerated plot developments and "self-imposed" axe.
That's not at all what happened if the afterword is to be believed

Really does felt like Coolkyou just ran out of material after the idaten got captured. Not really much of a conclusion so much an ending, if you catch my drift.
I'm not quite sure what he saw in the original web manga. Even the highlights of the series mostly amounted to "demons are bad but are they GENOCIDE-worthy???". I know he's always been something of a horny chuuni dude so it does fit his normal view more than something like Dragon Maid, but it never did felt like there was much to it. Miku is probably the thing that could provide the most content but she wasn't a threat since she couldn't actually counter the idaten at the end of the day. It just felt like he wanted to make an interesting philosophy experiment + worldbuilding exercise (with bonus rape scenes!!) over a story with characters.

Was at least an interesting exercise at the end of the day.
Coolkyou isn't actually writer, remember. It's Amahara. This is kind of like the One Punch Man thing, where while coolkyou adds his own content, Amahara still wrote a majority of it

Shame the quality of the story really went down towards the end but it's nice to finally put this on my completed list.

Thanks for finishing this one off Slug team.

This is kind of what i did, i just looked at the titties for the last 30 chapters, and am reading the comment section of the final chapter :dogkek:
Not exactly. If we look at this work as a whole we have been reading a very long epilogue. The demons who were the most of the threat died and instead of a genocide of the demons that are subtle hinted at in other isekai works after demonlord died; the demons of this universe forced integration and removed humanity protectors from their place. The only way the idatens could return to a purpose is to have them also evolve which is something they can't do instantly. The demons who also have adaption problems that they couldn't even produce their own offspring had to become more human to survive the loss. They basically forced evolution over the threat of execution.

I can't say I'm not disappointed, but I guess it could have been worse. There is still a dark/cynical sting here, showing that Miku really is still a demon, and that Gil still has hate in her heart.

Also, I like how the this chapter acts as a visual reference to the anime's ED.

Amahara, not Coolist. Cool was doing the art but Amahara was still writing the story.

tbf Coolkyou was just the artist for this one and didnt write the story which is different from Miss Kobayashi or Chichi Chichi or Mononoke Sharing

So basically this is another stage of the cycle of war. What Miku accomplished was to bring the demons back to the fray and pave the way for another war in the future, just now she's taking joy in that the idatens except for Gil and Hayato are completely neutered and peaceful. Miku and the demons won this round and they'll have the upper hand once war breaks out again in the future.

The ending feels bad because we're not getting real closure. Though Rin's happy now, yay.
Miku doesn't actually care about any of that. All Miku cares about is Miku, so she made a world where she could be happy - that is, live in luxury and without fear of the Idaten.

She's just being edgy and pointing out that even if things are peaceful now, ultimately nothing lasts. And she's right.
Recall that back in an era when there where dozens or perhaps hundreds of Idaten more powerful than Rin, the demons were nevertheless considered so much of a threat that the Idaten sacrificed themselves to seal them rather than keep on fightining them conventionally; those panels about research on the unsealed corpses ominiously imply the possibility of creating hybrid soldiers or reviving demons that could match or surpass the present Idaten and Miku's children, destroying the peace that they're able to enforce by being the more powerful forces on the planet.
