I believe the group messed up the numbers, in the LN they killed 400k and 600k were still alive.

I have felt like this several times over the course of pretty much all chapters during this arc.
Although my guess had been that it never was 1mil and always were 100k, since him only getting 11k magic stones from taking out over 40% of the army sounds odd otherwise.

He certainly seems suspicious, but it's hard to imagine an elf would actually betray the elven nation in favour of demons. If it was a demon possessing an elf's body, then it would be a different thing, though you'd think plenty of old elves would sense such corruption.

The 'usual' mistake of translating 万 (10,000) as 1,000 (which is 千 btw) for some reason.

Going through the RAW:
He defeated 700,000 demons here, with the elves working on getting 300,000 magic stones.
He want to defeat the remaining 2,500,000 demons.
He kill 30,000 the next day, thinking even 3,000,000 demons would only take 100 days like this.

Then 1,000,000 demons gathering (correct translation here)
The amount of refugees to move is actually 700,000

The 'scout' number 3000 (correct)
The defensive army size total to 300,000

While killing the 400,000 demons within the 3 days, Allen used 110,000 B rank stones, leaving him under 20,000
After the dragon burst, ~15,000 stones remaining.

The last one is especially egregious considering it's actually saying both (1 万 5 千)

This is correct. I checked the raw and it said the group defeated 40万. 万=10,000. 40万 = 400,000.
They are now fighting against 600,000 remaining demon forces.

If this were a game, the genre changes from RPG to RTS to musou. So much so that the artist decided to skip the 3 days where Allen’s party wiped about 40% of the enemy forces on their own.

Alright, I concure: That weasel is suspicous AF. (Not WhimsiCat.) MC comes in and saves the day and dude is angry at him. Another day MC offers a deal, "Hey, give me those crystals and I exchange them with something more valueable for you, Perfect cheat health potions, that are just short of raising the dead." Everyone, "Brilliant!" Except that one guy, who states clearly audible an angry, "You....!" Also, dude is an spirit summoner and there is no spirit around him. Yeap. At that moment, I would have questioned the heck out of the queen about that guy, kept one of my creatures at his tail to keep tabs on him and never showed him my back.

But right now it looks like he was an red herring all along, as it turns out he does have a spirit and simply doesn't want to believe MC killed that many monsters that hard, that even math failed. Welp, that could be a sign, that he is simply a douche that comes around and becomes friends, or that he still is with the demons and can't believe his side is losing out so badly. (That "earthspirite" could still turn out to be a fake or a corrupted counterpart or something in that case.)

Although the Demon Army seems to have many flying monsters, they do not seem to have air supremacy. MC-kun and his gang appear to be easily moving around between bastions by flying with no problem.

Is this because they are called Demon Army and not Demon Air Force?

It doesn't exactly make sense that they killed 30k in a day, but then they managed to wipe 400k in 3 days all of a sudden. And all of it behind the scenes with no explanation aswell. Such an awkard war depiction. Thanks for clearing up the numbers btw.
