It can be a bit jarring for modern ears to hear names with very old origins that are still in contemporary use. CGP Grey did a deep dive into the name Tiffany along those lines. I read a comment the other day complaining about Greek heroes having names like Odysseus, Heracles, Perseus... and Jason.

Since Kil just got made the pope, and they just got their third royal member on the team, I now wonder if Luke's Dad and his party were already people with ranks and titles before they got together, indeed that could be the very reason why they joined, or--like what's happening with Kil and Dogora--they achieved these positions in part because they were notable adventurers.

It's less the Luke and the Todd and more the two of them together. Pretty sure the kid is supposed to be having one of those 'fancy' two name names but thanks to Jason Todd, my brain refuses to not see Todd as his surname, which is not very a dark elf royalty surname.

Maybe not in the sense of how dark elf names usually look--there isn't even a single apostrophe in their names--but in terms of character Jason Todd certainly fits the mold of a lot of dark elves.
