Yet the outside is portrayed as a wilderness and not a vast sprawling farmland, which it should be. Not to mention if 80% of the population is inside said city, the remaining 20% can't feed them, unless they are all farmers with teleportation magic to handle the transportation and also apply modern industrial farming methods and probably don't eat themselves anything they grow.
Mayhap the WN/LN portrays the outskirts better, but I judge only what I see here.

Now you are getting it. One logistical disruption and you have a food shortage in this city.
The novel don't describe much outside the barrier. Way later in the story when the protag will go out, it's mention there is a public car network that stop to every village outside and that it.

But the setup is even more ridiculous because
80% of the kingdom population live in the capital protected by the barrier, but half of it is noble mention, so all commoners are cramped into half of the city. It is portrayed as an issue since forever.

The reason why nobody attack them is because to conquer a country, you need to take their symbol of power keep by the royal. But since the items in question are well protected inside the barrier, nobody can claim the country.
I remember thinking, "maybe they can't take the country, but they can definitively reduce his size to the capital only"

Outside is supposed to have farms and small village, but the author didn't describe much since the protag don't go out except to go back home
The bottom of it is, the author probably didn't think much of the lore

if there is a possibility of a marriage with royalty, then the upper class

maybe dumb clichés have just corrupted my brain already, but please let this not be foreshadowing for some royal asshole to become the typical third wheel annoyance later on :aquadrink:

The banishing prince that broke off the engagement getting second thoughts and wanting his victim back is a pretty common thing in these stories.

Downgraded a bit but as long as it goes back to fluff between the two of them soon I'll be good.

And now i remember why I stopped reading the novel version. That collar gag wasn't funny the first time but the author beats the joke to death by using it all the time and it gets annoying FAST.
Here on an author's barely disguised fetish 💀 so sorry you had to read all that

I dropped for the same reason. You could even predict when the running gag was gonna happen :02:

damn, I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case but I pretty much saw it coming. The panel with kid-MC wearing it while looking like an absolute gremlin was funny, at least

I wish there were more updates to read more, but I don't want the quality to drop either. Aaaaaaaaah! :notlikethis:
think the TL and some others mentioned in previous chapter's comments it's monthly release so he couldn't rush it even if he wanted.

In Finnish? Are you sure that a Scandinavian name with etymological ties to Ragnarök originates from Finnish? I'm sorry, I just can't help, but :kek:
The original language usage prevails in my eyes. But if for you, a sloppy mistake repeated by dozens or even hundreds of Japanese authors who wanted their character name to sound 'cool' made 'Ragna' a masculine name (I can even speculate there is no 'r' in their 'Ragna', because an 'r' in an '-ar' isn't audible in English), who am I to judge?
Almost all the links in 3 pages of my Google search query 'Ragna' are links to 2 titles, but 'Ragna name' is really different somehow (if you care enough to check).
There's nothing to judge other than you because like you said, if the Japanese are all using it wrong after that game with a male MC called Ragna, nobody in Japan is going to question otherwise unless someone decides to write a culturally correct one.

Which also means, nobody cares enough, but thanks for the learning moment either way.

We are not in Japan, though, so we can fix their mistakes. And if you're that 'nobody' who doesn't care, then why the hell did you write anything to me?

It always funny when the love interest is loved by everyone in the group. Especially they get compared them in things that are not that big of deal

The “nobody” refers to the Japanese who are still the main demographic for most manga, maybe learn to comprehend before dishing out the uppity from your ass.

The only mistake that needs fixing here is your sorry ass being born tbh. Did you kiss your mother with that mouth?

Really depends on the translator, Japanese doesn't make difference between L and R, in the raws, his name is ラグナ, so depending on the translator, it can either be Lagna or Ragna.
Though Lagna isn't a name I'm aware of and Ragna is a female name, so the clearest translation would be Ragnar. A nordic name, seen in real life as well as e.g. Skyrim; seems to fit the frontier nobel quite well.
