@thrrnvwls @tgb089. It was political assassination. By marrying her, knocking her up they shipping her back, the Coendra family has effectively cut off the Tersia family. Marriage to a princess is a huge political thing that often involves alliances and assets. They probably promised a lot, married her, knocked her up then shipped her out.

Because of this, the only heir to the Tersia family cant really get married again. By doing this, the 3rd family cant marry into the Tersia family and then ask for military support for the upcoming war between them and the Coendra family.

That marriage was just about insuring the Tersia family and the 3rd family would have trouble uniting. Basically, they destroyed the princess' life for power.

Taking interest in this because I haven't seen an actual silver fox main character since...ever.

Shouldn't it be fealty, not fidelity? I supposed fidelity is technically correct but given the context fealty seems more accurate.

I suppose it's a needless nitpick at the point that the chosen one technically works, thanks for the translation, and series seems good so far. Always appreciate something that's fantasy and doesn't have one of the crap tags of the apocalypse.

Kinda sad actually, because bard and the princess clearly liked each other, but eh, family stuff and obligations.

Ofc Bard stayed alone after that.
Well yes that and she was clearly used as breeding machine.. considering just a year and a half she came back already having a baby yuck

in some panels , the l0li is too tall and looks wrong .

so now the mc is a 58-years-old virgin ? lol . and he got netorare .
Replying to old comment, but it's not uncommon for a butler (this one would be closer to a servant to a family, I suppose; knight-servant?) to serve their family for generations. Bard himself mentioned he served Tersia family for 4 generations. That'd be the equivalent of 4x ntr :dogkek:

Anyone seeking trouble with the Tersia family would be begging to be the next family needing to take care of the constant monster invasions. At any point when Tersia doesn't anymore have a better choice, they might as well just send a stream of monsters through. If someone blamed them for it, that someone would be welcome to spend their own men and resources to deal with the monsters. If the whole Tersia region falls, then there will be a whole lot worse situation for the rest of the districts because they would have a huge front-line against the monsters, instead of simply a strictly limited gap in the wall. So, logically, any ruling family causing trouble for the Tersia family (as long as Tersia itself sticks to their job) should have all the other districts immediately turn against them.

I'm guessing the Nora lost a war and some strategic territories, not sure what though.

Why did he leave again? I kinda understand something about his popularity causing conflict, but not about him being used by the Coenderas and the Teslia getting debts.
