I can't say I like harpy design here. It's by definition half-human half-bird so ... the same with werewolves which look like wolfmen as werewolves have also human form. Still, this manga is super refreshing, and I'm only nitpicking.

I love the detail about the lack of words for yes/no. There are lots of real-world languages like that too, like Welsh and Mandarin; and languages where it's not idiomatic to use them, like Portuguese.

I think Susuki's eyes are why I like her so much. She looks constantly bewildered and a little excited.

The Professor is a legend. Because he can also sketch beautifully lol. I wonder if paintings or photographs are even accepted in their world? Especially abstract paintings (in the lizardmen's case).

Goshdarn harpies are HARD to talk to, It's not even funny. I like how learning the any language from any other species than yourself is considered engaging to look at for them.

Their society has generally accepted the fact that learning a new language is very hard, but is still encouraged with how they reacted with sensei being watched like that. They're even chill with how sensei gave up midway because of fatigue.

One man must fuck an animal, and one boy must be born after so. From this your chance of marring a monster girl is risen

I've wondered since I first read this: why have neither Hakaba nor the Professor thought of whistling or using a flute, and then use the try-and-see method (which was required to learn werewolf at first).
