i had to re-read the last chapters because i totally forgot what was going on, i'm so happy it all ended ok for now and it seems like things are going to get better
i was screaming to the teacher to just hug her when she started having her flashback, wanting to help someone but not knowing HOW is a terrible feeling, the teacher did a great job at the end and i hope everything gets better to the girl, is hard to care about yourself when you don't feel like you deserve it but i hope she learns to do that.

Wasn't a big fan of the Himawari arc at the start, but its slowly growing on me. I think each one of these characters deserves to find happiness in some form

I think these two have become my favorite characters in this manga. I relate so much to both Himawari’s spiral of self-loathing and to Kamiuzu feeling like she’s just pretending at being an adult.

I'm guessing this is another case like OITNB where they started with a main couple, exhausted the novelty of the situation, and now they're spinning off into developing previously one-dimensional side characters. Personally I vastly prefer this over the alternative of 60 chapters of artificial will-they-won't-they subplots and comedic misunderstandings that a lot of yuri storylines have, which almost universally make me want to claw my eyeballs out.

They haven't exactly exhausted things with the main couple, but their relationship needs time to develop and spending time on side characters helps to create the sense of time to make developments in the main couple foel more natural. More so than a time skip would. It's basically about pacing.
