It gets weird.
The anime also avoided an entire arc about a lost civilization that comes into play in the continuation series.

It's still pretty good but just like Owari No Seraph (same writer) after shit gets weird the lead characters start becoming less likeable.

Hello, translator here.
First of all, as of Chapter 8, there has been no more hinting at Shoujo Ai besides that one chapter, so calm the f down with forcing us to add the tag.
Second, the mango is literally called 'Himari's surroundings', and for those of you who can't bother with reading the afterword, the author literally said that he wants to focus on all the characters, instead of just one or two.
@Woozee could you tell us about your sources? Because as far as I know, we're up to date with raws, and there haven't been any new developments on any shoujo Ai. A one-sided thing, if even. So, if you can't, I'd appreciate if you stopped talking BS about the people with the actual raws. Thanks a bunch. And towards the tag voting, I think that the people with a brain can agree that the translators know more about the fitting tags than some MD commenter.

Bro, I don't like Shoujo Ai either but it's a side character, and the person she's interested in is the brother's sister.

The manga has a lot going for it when it comes to interpersonal relationships, social ability, and it has good potential drama.

I mean... even in Harem anime, there can be that one lesbian character but the whole thing doesn't become Shoujo Ai because of her.
Basically, I agree that Childhood friend is 90% likely to be gay. No skin off my back since she isn't a good heroine anyway, and has more to offer Himari then her brother. It probably won't be the focus of the story and the story has a lot more other stuff going for it that'll most likely eclipse that aspect in the future anyway.
