Like, this isn't that hard. You were asked to date her, that would be enough to accept.
Comments talking about how shallow he is make me think that they never actually dated anyone. They just started dating, there doesn't need to be any love between them, they're still getting to know each other. She didn't ask him to spend the rest of their lives together, it's not that serious. Even her reason wasn't particularly "deep", it's the typical "you saved me this one time and I've had a crush on you since then". She didn't like him as a person, because she knew at most one side of him.
